Use this quick guide to keep your FitKit offer up to date, from creating an activity to setting schedules and closed dates. Note that what used to be called Services is now shown as Activities in the portal.
Create a new activity
- Go to Activities and click Add activity.
- Fill in the required fields:
- Name, for example Yoga, Sports Massage or Reformer Pilates.
- Description, up to 280 characters describing what members should expect.
- Category, choose the correct type.
- Credits, the number agreed with the sales team.
- Gender restriction, Male, Female or All.
- Optionally tick Email notification if you want an email each time a booking is made. This is handy for low traffic activities and best left off for busy ones such as an open gym.
- Add an image, amenities and facilities, and an online or external link if members book or pay on your own system.
- Click Add. The activity now appears in your list.
Two settings that FitKit manages for you
Some things are set by FitKit to keep booking and check in consistent, so you will not edit them yourself:
- The check in rule is shown with a lock as Managed by FitKit. If you need it changed, contact FitKit support.
- The credit price locks once an activity already has bookings, so that no existing booking changes value later. To adjust pricing after that, contact FitKit and we will coordinate it.
Set up a schedule
- Open the activity and go to the Schedule tab.
- Add slots and define the days and hours, for example Mon Wed Fri from 17:00 to 18:00, and the maximum number of participants.
- Repeat as needed for more time slots.
Add closed days
- In the Schedule tab choose Closed day.
- Enter the from and to date.
- Click Save. That date is then disabled for booking in the app.
Edit an existing activity
From the activity list click the name, edit in the Info or Schedule tab, then click Save.
Common questions
- No booking email received. Check that Email notification is ticked and that the address is correct.
- A member cannot book. Make sure a schedule exists and that an end date is not blocking availability.
- Too many emails. Turn off notifications for high frequency activities such as gyms.
