How checking in works
Your booking becomes a real visit only when you check in at the venue. When you arrive, the FitKit app confirms that you are physically at the location during its opening hours, and then it shows a Check in button that you tap at the reception.
Easy way to picture it: checking in is like connecting to a Wi Fi network. You have to be close enough to the router, which is the venue, and it has to be switched on, meaning open. If you are too far away or the place is closed, there is no signal and the check in will not go through.
If you cannot check in, go through this quick list
- Be at the venue. You need to be within about 100 meters. Standing across the street or far in the parking lot can already be too far.
- Check in during opening hours and close to your booked time. Outside working hours the button will not appear.
- Turn on location on your phone and allow FitKit to use it. Precise location should be on for the FitKit app.
- Make sure you have a working internet connection, either mobile data or Wi Fi.
- Open the correct booking for today and tap Check in.
Some activities do not need a check in
Online sessions, charity activities and certain adventure activities are confirmed automatically, so you will not see a Check in button for them. That is normal and your visit is still recorded.
You missed the check in or it still failed
Do not worry, you will not lose your credits. Write to us and we will look into what happened and validate your visit manually once everything checks out. To help us solve it quickly, please send:
- The email you use in the FitKit app
- The name of the activity and the venue
- The date and time of the booking
- The booking code if you have it
You can reach us at info@fitkit.app.
